Rookie (Ages 8-10)
The Perfect Performance Rookie Strength & Speed Academy is designed to introduce athlete’s ages 8-10 to foundational speed and strength movements all while having FUN. The 1 hour training session is broken into 3 parts; dynamic warm-up, movement and strength. A sample workout for an acceleration focused day would is as follows:
- Dynamic Warm-Up:Jump rope, Static mobility, dynamic flexibility, nervous system activation (15 min)
- Acceleration: Arm drills, wall drills, sprints (25 min)
- Strength: Planks, Bounds, BW Squats, Push-ups (20 min)
